Was there not posted at one time, a few months ago, a commentary that some one had encountered a scam reguarding the making of windows for a client and then some how they never got paid. In my recollection it was a large amount of windows and some how it was a glass scam.
Anyone remmeber this and the cercumstances?

As I recall it, it was an email scam of someone WANTING to place an order and do business, but order with a Credit card, and the order was a first time issue and out of country order, as I recall the phrase Nigeria was used somewhere as a reminder. Like it was too good to be true.
I do not remember the specifics

Artists and crafters of all sorts have been targeted by such scamers. They talk about huge orders for "art" and offer to send a check. But, it's not just "art"; I read a report a couple of years ago about a scamer trying to convince a mule owner to sell the mule for big bucks. All the same in that time is always short and the money is always large. Warning signs.

Bottom line is that if it seems too good to be true, it probably is. One should check carefully if one chooses to persue it!

Here is an example of an e-mail I got which is clearly a scam. I get similar e-mails regularly and have never replied:
From: danny wilson <dannywilson20002000@gmail.com>
Date: November 9, 2010 8:57:57 PM EST
Subject: order
Dear Customer,
My name is danny wilson , i want to make a special
order for a glass and i will need the Glass with the Sizes of 30X30 1/4 Thickness Clear Glass,Tempered & With A Polished Edge, The Quantity i will need is 80 PCs, kindly go ahead and email me with the total pick up price plus Tax Excluding Shipping Of The 80 PCs, also advise me on the method of payment you accept, Kindly respond to me as soon as possible for us to proceed further with the order... Thank You.
